ReadLeft is designed with your privacy in mind. We believe your data belongs to you, and we've built our app to reflect that principle.

Data Collection

ReadLeft does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

No account required — You can use ReadLeft without creating an account or providing any personal information.
No analytics or tracking — We do not use any analytics services or tracking tools.
No advertising — We do not display ads or share data with advertisers.

Voice Recognition

ReadLeft's Smart Scroll feature uses on-device speech recognition to detect when you're speaking. This processing happens entirely on your device:

Audio is processed locally using Apple's Speech framework
No audio data is sent to our servers or any third party
No transcripts are stored or recorded

Your Scripts

Scripts you create or import in ReadLeft are stored locally on your device. We cannot access, read, or retrieve your scripts. If you use iCloud sync (through iOS), your data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Third-Party Services

ReadLeft integrates with the following services at your discretion:

Google Drive — If you choose to import scripts from Google Drive, you'll authenticate directly with Google. We do not store your Google credentials.
Apple's Files app — File imports use iOS's native document picker.

Children's Privacy

ReadLeft does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not require or request personal information from any user.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
